Players will need to complete the rest of the game, and if successful, Act 4 will end with a personal thank you letter from creator Dan Salvato. This will reset all progress and delete any saves stored in the Metaverse browser. If Act 1 has already been approved, players will need to exit DDLC and run reset.sh from the main file directory. All of this must be done before entering Act 2. Finally, at the end of the weekend, tell Sayori “I love you”. Additionally, in at least two saves, players will have to spend the weekend once with Yuri and once with Natsuki. This will unlock CG art for each love interest that day. In each individual save, players will need to construct two poems for each of Sayori, Yuri, and Natsuki, respectively. If all of this is done, Act 4 will conclude with Monika’s farewell.įor a much happier outcome, players will need to have a minimum of three separate save games during Act 1. Here, remove Monika.chr and then resume DDLC application. Now, navigate through the files option and into the Characters folder. In Act 3, players will need to exit DDLC and return to the Metaverse Enterprise Solutions desktop. During Act 2, players can make any decision, as this does not affect the final result. This means that the three poetry-making sections only need to be attempted once (or even twice, but not three times) and players only need to choose either Yuri or Natsuki to spend the weekend (not both).

To get the normal ending, players must go through all of Act 1 of DDLC as presented without rebooting and trying new results. For the most part, DDLC is the same as the first edition of Doki Doki Literature Club, with some adjustments for console limitations. Every time players load the game a second time, they will need to enter the DDLC application from the top of Windows style. Unlike the original release, Doki Doki Plus Literature Club reformulates the main game as a virtual machine simulation titled DDLC.
